2018 National Junior Classic Results:


After finishing on top of Pool D with a 3-0 record and dispatching Frankston easily in the Quarter Final, the girls came up against eventual Champion Melbourne Tigers in the Semi-Final. The girls suffered a tough 65-38 loss but were still in the hunt for a medal in the Bronze playoff against Knox. Unfortunately, the girls lost a heart-breaker 49-48. Fourth in the country is an amazing achievement!! Well done to players and coaches: Christina Roberts, Eboni Doulgeridis, Hannah Wickstrom, Remi Harris, Ella Razga, Maddie Simmons, Zoe Pulling, Tegan Mouncer, Natalia Hordejuk, Kate Godden, Erik Wickstrom, Deanna Jolliffe and team manager Anne Maree Nunan.

The Under 18 boys went into the tournament without guard Jack Pavlidis and a couple of players with injuries and illness. After finishing on top of Pool D with a 3-0 record, the boys finished with losses to Hawthorn, Sturt and eventually dropped the 7/8 playoff against Nunawading.

Congratulations to the players and coaching staff: James Eadie, Callum MacNamara, Jack Pavlidis, Brodie Nunn, Kingsley Box, Blake Williams, Samuel Talaupiu, Kobe Williamson, Matthew Nunn, Aaron Cole and team manager Mucki Williamson. Special mention to Mitch Barlow and Walter Delahunty who came up from the 18.2s and helped out over the weekend.
