Sabres Under 18 Player Kobe Williamson has been named to attend the selection camp for the Australian Crocs ahead of the 2017 FIBA Under-16 Asia Cup.

The selection camps will be held from September 4-6 at Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence in Canberra with 12 athletes then chosen to represent their country at the FIBA U16 Asia Cup.

The impressive group of 18 players has been chosen after observing athletes at the Australian Under-18 and Under-16 Junior Championships as well as performances in their respective state and territory high performance programs.

Crocs coach Justin Schueller was impressed with the talent pool from Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia as he prepares for his first campaign at the helm of the Under-17 men.

“We are excited for the guys that have made the squad to this point and we can’t wait to get started,” Schueller said.

“The athletes have demonstrated their abilities in the areas we value and we believe it is a versatile and exciting group.”

The Sabres Family congratulates and wishes Kobe all the best for the camp in September!
