The Deakin Melbourne Boomers are Australia’s longest running elite-level women’s sports team and have represented one of the world’s great basketball cities with great pride for more than 35 years. Dedicated to promoting and supporting girls and women in basketball, the Boomers continue to provide the very best homegrown talent with a pathway to the WNBL and beyond. By supporting Melbourne’s WNBL team, grassroots basketball clubs and junior players, girls in particular, receive connection to outstanding role models, including national and international stars. Our basketball club is proud to partner Australia’s most iconic women’s basketball team and we encourage our players and families to join the Boomers to actively support girls and women in basketball.
