The Sabres are pleased to announce the signing of All-SEABL Women’s team member Brittany Smart for the 2016 SEABL season.
Coach Paul Graham is delighted to see the leading scorer in the competition return for another year. Smart led all scorers in 2015, averaging 23.9 point per game at 46% from the field, including 39.6% from the three point line (2nd in league). Brittany also shot 80% from the free throw line.
Playing as a shooting guard, the relatively diminutive Smart was also a surprising force on the glass for her team, averaging an impressive 9.1 rebounds per game, finishing 12th in the league in that category.
Brittany will spend this off-season playing in the WNBL as an import for the Melbourne Boomers.
Coach Graham will be hoping to announce more signings in the near future to rebound from a 3-19 season that saw many close games go the wrong way for the Sabres.
