SEABL Men

The SEABL men secured an important 96 – 93 win over the Nunawading Spectres. The Sabres trailed by 14 points at the first break but managed to work themselves back into the game and capture the win.

Jerry Evans scored 32 points and grabbed 7 rebounds whilst playing the entire the game. Ethan O’Day also had a tremendous game, contributing 25 points and eight rebounds.

“The message in the locker-room before the game was that we had encountered a few defeats lately but we must not be defeated as a team and we were able to respond,” head coach, Sinisa Markovic said.

 

SEABL Women

The SEABL women were defeated 86 – 94 in a close contest against the Nunawading Spectres. The Sabres welcomed back Jasmine Gill who dominated with 33 points and eight rebounds.

Nicole Romeo was spectacular with 27 points, six rebounds, eight assists and seven steals. Deanna Jolliffe added 9 points in 13 minutes of play.

The loss puts them at four wins and 10 losses with eight games to play.

 

Round 13 Preview

Both the men and women will host the Albury Wondonga Bandits. The women tip off at 5 p.m. whilst the men follow at 7 p.m. It’s going to be USA night at the Nunn Media Basketball Centre so make sure you are wearing an American sports jersey to receive free entry.
