Sabres Basketball are delighted to announce the man who can do no wrong on his left, Nathan Crosswell will return for another season in 2018.
This will be Crosswell’s 9th SEABL season, and 15th donning the Orange.
Crosswell, who hails from Ballina NSW, was, by his own admission, a late developer. He made a NSW State team at the age of 17, traveling 6 hours both ways by car to State Team tryouts and practices before competing for his home state at the Australian Junior Championships. Nathan then came to Melbourne to play under 20’s.
He went on to play with 5 teams in the NBL from 1999-2013. He won an NBL Championship with the Melbourne Tigers in the 2007-08 season.
At the same time, he played NBL off-seasons with the Sabres, logging 106 Big V games, winning two Big V Championships and has so far played in 203 SEABL games.
Head Coach Simon Giovannoni is elated Nathan is returning “Nathan provides us with veteran leadership and a calm steady hand. He has been around the league for a long time, I am looking forward to having him apart of the group in 2018”.
